Riptide Rendezvous is a surf-fishing tournament, organized by the Southwest Council of Fly Fishers International, and run with the help of Coastal Conservation Association California.

RR is a month-long virtual event, generally held in late Spring or early Summer. It spans the coast from Santa Barbara County to the Mexican border.

It's a non-profit fundraising event, with all net proceeds going to the SWCFFI and the CCA to help fund fishing outreach and conservation programs.

Riptide Rendezvous traces its roots back over 15 years ago to a small gathering of surf fly-fishing enthusiasts meeting in Carpinteria, California.

Then, ten years ago,  Al Quattrochi's "One Surf Fly" tournament appeared, and became a focal point for the growing population of surf fly-fishermen. A "for fun" tournament, with a unique event format, it ended in 2016.

Now we have "Riptide Rendezvous"...
