Fly:
Fishing Tactics: "I chose the two hander over a 9 foot rod as a 3.5 ft swell was in the forecast. That would increase fishing time as the fly line would not be brought in by swell and wave energy. I was on south end with a lot of kelp close to the beach. I could reach over that 50% of the time."

Lure: Berkley Gulp 2 inch Bloody sand worm
Fishing Tactics: Fished the Carolina rig on the bottom, slow pulls

Fly: "No name surf fly. It just uses striped sililegs, large gray chenille, large dumbell eyes, estaz flash (I think), and a tuft of fluorescent orange deer hair"
Fishing Tactics: "Cast far/beyond the breaking waves, let sink a bit, and strip in fast."
